Meet Liam
Hi! I'm Liam Lennon. I'm a high school student with ties to Massachusetts, Colorado and Virginia who started The Lucky Penny as part of the Young Americans Center for Financial Education's YouthBiz program for entrepreneurs. I wanted to create a product that was unique and affordable, offered something meaningful to customers, and wasn't expensive for me to start. I love working with my hands, so making items with pennies was a perfect combination.
When I'm not working on my business, I have a lot of other interests too. I love baseball, math and aeronautics, and I hope to be an astronaut or test pilot. I am an Eagle Scout. I save some of the money I earn to help me participate in those activities. I also am devoted to Alzheimer’s research and animals, so I donate part of my earnings to the Alzheimer’s Association and the Denver Dumb Friends League.
My twin brother Owen runs a business, too, and we have been on several local news shows talking about our experience with the Young Americans Center; see one segment below. We have both been finalists in the YouthBiz Stars competition, which I also won. I spoke to 500 members of the Denver business community about the entrepreneur programs and my experience.

Thanks for stopping by! I can be reached at TheLuckyPennyCo@gmail.com. I am a student, so if it takes me a day or two to respond, I hope you understand.
